CTO Labs supports Education Perfect in Acquiring Essential Assessment, becoming largest EdTech platform in Australia

CTO Labs has supported Education Perfect (EP), Australia and New Zealand’s leading K-12 education technology provider, in their acquisition of Essential Assessment (EA), Australia's largest primary school assessment platform. The acquisition expands EP's reach to 4,000 schools and more than a million students across Australia, establishes the company as one of the largest EdTech platforms in the region.

EP is a leading digital platform which supports the engagement of students in online learning, provides effective assessment during the learning process, and enables teachers to seamlessly collect and analyse student data.

EA is Australia’s leading primary school assessment platform for literacy and numeracy, used by over one third of primary schools in the country.

With the addition of Essential Assessment, EP strengthens its position as educators’ preferred platform for data analytics, content, and assessment capabilities across all grade levels.

The acquisition adds 2,500 schools to Education Perfect's portfolio, allowing for a comprehensive K-12 view of student capabilities and helping teachers and principals make data-driven decisions to improve student achievement.

CTO Labs acted as Technical Due Diligence Advisor to Education Perfect, working closely with teams on both sides of the acquisition. Scope included software development, infrastructure, code forensic analysis, and IP Licence Analysis, to identify opportunities, manage risk and help uncover the full potential of the proprietary tech of EA as part of integration.
